Each garment includes a unique care label on the inside &#x2014; please refer to this label for the most accurate guidance.<hr data-start="928" data-end="931">WASHING BASICS<ul data-start="963" data-end="1368"><li data-start="963" data-end="1039">Use a technical wash such as Grangers, Nikwax, or McNett</li><li data-start="1040" data-end="1150">If not available, use a liquid detergent with no additives &#x2014; avoid perfumes, foam, or fabric softeners</li><li data-start="1151" data-end="1198">Always wash your HH&#xAE; garment on its own</li><li data-start="1199" data-end="1298">Run an extra rinse cycle to fully remove detergent, which can affect waterproof performance</li><li data-start="1299" data-end="1368">Follow your garment&#x2019;s label for the correct temperature setting</li></ul>Ideal for: All Helly Hansen outerwear, rainwear, ski gear, and base layers<hr data-start="1450" data-end="1453">STAIN REMOVAL &amp; HEAVY CLEANINGSpot Cleaning Steps:<ol data-start="1525" data-end="1703"><li data-start="1525" data-end="1594">Apply a small amount of technical wash directly to the stain</li><li data-start="1595" data-end="1629">Blot gently with a damp cloth</li><li data-start="1630" data-end="1703">Avoid heating (e.g., tumble drying) until the stain is fully removed</li></ol>For heavily soiled items:<ul data-start="1735" data-end="1894"><li data-start="1735" data-end="1798">Wash the item twice back-to-back (no drying between cycles)</li><li data-start="1799" data-end="1832">Always perform an extra rinse</li><li data-start="1833" data-end="1894">Only dry once detergent and stain residue are fully removed</li></ul>Tip: If the stain persists, avoid drying the garment until it&#x2019;s fully clean &#x2014; heat can set the stain permanently.<hr data-start="2015" data-end="2018">DRYING &amp; DWR REACTIVATION After washing, dry your Helly Hansen garment according to the care label &#x2014; this often includes tumble drying to reactivate the DWR (Durable Water Repellency).If your jacket isn&#x2019;t repelling water (i.e., droplets are soaking in instead of beading off), the DWR may need to be reapplied.<hr data-start="2357" data-end="2360">REPROOFING YOUR JACKET Over time, DWR treatments wear off.
